Vivaciously Kitschky (Kitschy) items have an aesthetic or personality that is bold, exuberant, often humorous appreciation for showy, old-fashioned, or sentimental sock monkeys.

Our items are often described as Exuberant & Lively: Characterized by high energy and a “flaunty” or theatrical nature. Weird, odd and gaudy. Just the way we love them.

Nostalgic Kitsch: We focus on items that are charmingly outdated, along with brand new visions of strangeness.

Whimsical & Sentimental: We incorporate sentimental or mawkish, yet fun, items such as vintage Rockford red-heel sock monkeys or their newer cousin the toe-sock creature…er.. sock MONSTERS! We know NO BOUNDARIES and take no prisoners. Custom orders will always be considered.

About sock monkeys in general:

1868 brought about the world’s first sock-knitting machine patented in Rockford, IL. It didn’t take middle America long to see the red-heel of the sock resembled a mouth and decide to make stuffed creatures with it.
